Class demand

All classes are currently open for consideration.

Please don't be afraid to send us your application even if your class isn't currently in demand. We are constantly on the lookout for skilled players of any class and we rarely turn down an exceptional applicant.

Guild requirements

These are our guild requirements. This is the standard we have come to expect from all our members and in order to join you must be able to fulfill them.

You...

- are 18 years or older. This is not a 100% firm rule, exceptions may be made if an application is otherwise very strong. Most important is that you are mature and that you control your own time (i.e. you won't be summoned by your parents to do the dishes all the time during raids).

- have a level 80 character. Your gear should preferably be up-to-date with (or, at least, not awfully far behind) our current progress level. Don't come in full PvP sets with no PvE gear and expect a spot.

- know how to speak and write understandable English. We're an international guild and we understand that English might not be your mother tongue. We won't require you to write a long essay or anything, but you will need to understand what we say well enough to avoid misunderstandings. Likewise, we need to be able to understand you without having to guess what you are trying to tell us.

- will maintain a raid attendance of 75% or higher (more is better). Our raid times while progressing are 19:00-24:00, Sunday-Thursday.

- have Ventrilo v3 and know how to use it. Talking is a definite plus but not required. It is also important that you understand when not to talk.

- come prepared for raids. That means you are fully prepared with repair money, as much knowledge of whichever encounters we're going to be doing as is available and consumables for a full night of raiding. We aren't trying to waste everyone's gold on every opportunity, but we will generally call for using consumables whenever we are getting reasonably close to a first boss kill or on bosses we tend to struggle with.

- have an in-depth knowledge of the game and the mechanics of your class. We do not intend to teach people basic raiding techniques. We have no use for you if you a) don't know how to optimally gear your character, b) don't know what rotation to use or c) suck at not standing in the fire. You must be willing to put in the effort to research things.

- are not a drama queen and/or loot whore. If your main reason for raiding is loot, we do not want you. Likewise, if you're going to cause unnecessary drama, we do not want you. In a big guild, chances are that you aren't always going to get your will, or even get along that well with every single member. If you feel unfairly treated then by all means bring it up with an officer, but we cannot have 40 people constantly whining about every little thing that doesn't go the way they wanted it to.

- are able to receive as welll as give constructive criticism. While we don't enjoy yelling at people, we expect a certain standard from everyone who attends our raids  Repeatedly wasting our time and repair money is not going to make you very popular. If we feel that you are underperforming, you will be told, and we will expect you to take the criticism seriously and find a way to improve.

- are motivated to keep going and not give up. Most raid encounters require an amount of effort and fine-tuning of strategy to beat. This means we will have to keep trying until we are all good enough at the specific encounter to beat it. We understand that you are going to be grumpy after struggling for a long time, but don't take it out on others.

- are a fast learner. To minimize the amount of time it takes to beat encounters, we need people who are attentive, pick things up quickly and adjust their strategies on-the-fly when needed. If you have the attention span of a 3-year-old or are notoriously slow at learning, chances are you won't fit very well into BAFFO.

- do not freak out if something unexpected happens. Things don't always go according to plans, and the last thing we need when the main tank dies during a boss encounter is for everyone to start panicking. Stay cool, listen to your raid leaders and adjust your gameplay accordingly.

Still interested?

If you think these requirements suit you, then go ahead and apply to join. The template for making applications can be found below - we ask that everyone uses the template since it makes it a lot easier for us to compare applicants.

Your application should be mailed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , not posted on our forum. It is typically going to be our first impression of you, so make sure you spend some time on it to make it good. A strong application will get you halfway there.

Please note that we receive quite a few applications. While we certainly consider them all, we don't always reply to those that aren't accepted. That being said, if some time passes without a reply it does not mean that you have been denied. We encourage you to contact an officer in game about your status if it's been a week or more.

Also be aware that your application will be posted on our internal forums after you've sent it, so any formatting other than forum BBcode will be lost.
